Local network
The app scans your local Wi-Fi network to find supported televisions and sends remote commands directly to the TV you choose. Device addresses and pairing tokens are stored on your device. They are not included in the app's analytics events.
Photos and videos
The iOS photo picker gives the app access only to media you select. Selected photos and videos are used for local preview or AirPlay playback and are not uploaded to a server operated by Universal TV Remote Control IQ.
App analytics
The app uses Firebase Analytics to understand basic operation and reliability. Events can include app launch, the number and platform categories of TVs found during a scan, and whether a connection attempt succeeded. These events do not include TV names, TV IP addresses, selected photos or videos.
Advertising and tracking choices
The free version uses Google Mobile Ads. Google may process device, advertising and interaction data under its own policies. Where required, the app presents consent choices and Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can review available advertising privacy choices from the app's Settings screen.
The app includes the Meta SDK for app services. Meta may process app and device event data according to its policies and the permissions available on your device.
Purchases
Apple processes subscription purchases and restores. Universal TV Remote Control IQ does not receive your card number or other payment credentials. Subscription status is used on the device to decide which app features are available.
Your choices
You can remove a saved TV from the app's Settings screen. You can change local-network, photo and tracking permissions at any time in iOS Settings. Removing the app deletes locally stored device addresses and pairing tokens.
Children
The app is rated 4+ on the App Store and does not require an account. It is not designed to collect personal information from children.
